Powerleveling Introduction

November 26th, 2009

Powerleveling in World of Warcraft feels almost necessary after running one or two characters through quests which seem to always run you around in circles. You get frustrated, angry, lost or bored. Powerleveling allows you to level your own character as quickly and efficiently as possible.

There are several ways to go about powerleveling a character, but a well-written guide is almost always the best choice.   I would suggest not getting a guide which is in manual form unless you are willing to print it out, because alt-tabbing in the middle of your game gets very annoying. If you print it out this will make it slightly easier, but you will still be having to read over what you need to do next and hopefully remember it.

The next kind of guide is a video guide. These can be much more helpful as they at least show you what are looking for more vividly than a manual can. But this still contains the issue of having to look back and forth from the game to your videos. Hopefully you have a second computer to run the videos on, because having to watch a segment of the video while signed onto Warcraft isn’t pleasant.

The last type of powerleveling guide which I highly recommend, is the in game guide. these guides run as add-ons in your game. They have arrows which point to where you need to go. This helps keep track of quests which you have or may need. These are always active, constantly updating the best route for you to get the most xp/hr. Best part is, they can be auto-updating. This means that you don’t need to go in and change the settings for a different level or character class, it will figure it all out for you. This is definitely the best way to powerlevel any character. A manual cannot do that!
